  • Read the latest local avalanche report<\/li>\n
  • Get information from local, highly qualified ski\/snowboard instructors, ski\/snowboard guides, or mountain guides about the build-up of the snow cover, and weather conditions over the past few weeks.<\/li>\n
  • Look out for build-up of snow on ridges etc., caused by wind.<\/li>\n
  • Dig a snow pit to test the snow profile. This gives you information about the structural strength of the snow cover.<\/li>\n
  • Choice the right terrain \u2013 open field, gully, windward side, or leeward side.<\/li>\n
  • Never ride alone off the piste.<\/li>\n
  • Being accompanied by an experienced, qualified, freeride guide, or mountain guide is recommended.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
